Understanding

Isaiah 40:28
Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The Lord is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.

My favorite part of that verse is “…and his understanding no one can fathom.” Praise the Lord for that. I can’t tell you how many times I go through life and say to myself, “I don’t understand what is going on!” Do you ever feel that way? Like you are totally lost and you’re so confused as to why life has taken the turn it has. Rejoice! The Lord knows and He understands!

The family of my son’s girlfriend experienced a loss recently. Her uncle’s baby boy passed away unexpectedly. As you can imagine, the entire family is wrecked with grief. Even Clay’s girlfriend posted on her Facebook account a cry out against God for the loss. She couldn't believe God would inflict that kind of pain on a family. She is unable to understand why this happened.

If you are lost in your own lack of understanding, please know that God does know what is happening, why it is happening and if you allow the Lord to lead you… He will walk you through it.
