School is about to start here

Clayton had to head up to the high school today to get his ID, locker and finalize his schedule. Turns out the school hired a new band director and they are now offering Jazz band. Clayton was pretty excited and asked the school to adjust his schedule so he could get in the class. Last year we actually considered moving Clayton to a larger school district for better music options, but we were hesitant due to the size of school where we live. We prefer the smaller classes. So... we were very happy with the school's decision to let the band instructor go back to just the middle school and hire an instructor just for the high school. I'm excited to see how much Clayton can grow with these new options.

I tried to talk Dylan into playing football in 7th grade, but he just isn't interested. He really prefers baseball and that is OK. (Even though he is a great football running back.) This could work out well since our town is a powerhouse in baseball in this state and across the country. I'm praying for baseball scholarships here!

I get the great pleasure of working with my sister-in-law every day now. Carrie has taken the position of Executive Assistant to the Senior Pastor at our church. Even though she is on the opposite end of the office from me... I enjoy getting the chance to work with her.

JC has been here visiting this summer but goes home this Friday. I'm very sad. I know the boys have enjoyed the time they have spent with him and they look forward to him being here every year. It was nice that he could drive this year and next year Clayton will be driving too so I am sure they will have many more options for next year!

OK - that is it for now... I miss everyone and look forward to hearing from you!

Yea, it seems to have worked.
Well I am happy to hear Clayton will be joining the jazz band at school. I know he really enjoys his music and especially enjoys jazz. Hopefully, with all of his music experience he can get some type of scholarship for college.

The last time I spoke with you Dylan has now decided to play football. Glad to hear that, he is a tough little guy and really lets it all out on the field.

We are getting a little more rain which is badly needed. They put a burn ban in effect because we have been so dry, we still need some more rain before they can safely lift the ban.

It's going to be another busy week for me, but hopefully not as bad as it has been since the big bus wreck. Just need to find time to teach a CPR/First Aid and a Babysitting class sometime in the next week or two. Plus I have two board meetings and a fundraising meeting coming up. Moose has obedience class for the next 4 weeks and one of the weeks they have a swim party at a wadding pool for all dogs. That should really be interesting, I will send pictures of that one.

Guess that is all for tonight, will write more again soon.
Love to all
