Hi there everyone...
I thought we could give this a try for all those who want to keep up with the Ethridge's. I'm not very good about calling everyone and typing is a better form of communication for me! Let me know how this goes for you guys and if it bombs... I can always delete the blog!
So - let's go with the latest...
Dylan is playing summer baseball and his team just keeps winning their tournament games. Although we like for his team to win... secretly all the parent's are ready for this season to be over. Dylan has mostly been playing catcher, but every now and then he plays outfield. He does a stellar job at both (yes, that is a Mom's opinion), but he truly excells at catching. He has also picked up golf thanks to JC. Turns out... he is pretty good at that too. He played his first 9 holes on Monday and I think par is 36 and he golfed a 56. I don't think that is too bad for a first timer.
Clayton has been a video game junkie most of the summer. The plan was for him to find a job this summer, but everywhere he tried... he was told he had to be 16. Since he can't drive... that really limited his options. I really don't think he was too bummed about it. He is still playing his saxaphone and doing very well at it. If you ever want to see him in action... check out the church website http://www.greeleywesleyan.org/ and watch the worship services. Every now and then you can get a glimpse of him playing his horn. He had been taking bass guitar lessons too, but his teacher (our next door neighbor) is moving out of state so that has ended for now. I don't know if he will want to continue or not... I guess we just have to wait and see. Now - here is the funny part... Clayton has also taken up golf. I know... he isn't much of a sports kiddo. The thing is... he is good at it too. He played his first 9 holes on Monday too and he hit a 55. Of course he had to one up his brother! OH... and he has his permit now... where oh where have the years gone?
Bobby is still working at CareStream in Windsor. He works a swing shift and he hates it. He is looking daily for another job, but nothing has happend for him yet. I'm still at the church and I love it. I have really been able to expand my skill set and all the while... enjoy my job. The church is busy trying to branch out beyond our walls and we currently broadcast our services to the Internet where we are watched by thousands every week. We are also looking and trying out the possiblity of being a satalite church for several small churches in the denomination. It is pretty exciting and while I have never done this kind of thing before... I am up for the challenge in figuring it all out.
That is just about it for this post... reply to the post... let me know how you are.... Better yet... Come see us up here! We would love to hang out.

Hi there Alisha and family! :) It was nice to read the update about you guys. I can't believe that the boys are getting so old...what does that make us? hahaha
Update on us...Vincent will be starting kindergarten on August 25th. He seems really excited to be able to be going to school (let's see how he feels on day 2!) hahaha Lexi is 2.5 and a precocious little thing. We just got back from 2 weeks in Indiana with Brent's parents. Had a nice relaxing time, spent some time at the lake and generally goofing around. Brent is still working for the Stone companies, and I'm enjoying staying home with the kids. Though, I'm starting to do more massages...got one of my previous clients back. Life is good, we're having a nice (though hot) summer. I was very thankful for the respite in Indiana. :)
I look forward to more posts!
Love,
Angie
ps...nope I'm not preggo! (per your voicemail questioning...hahahaha) :>
This is great! I have never blogged before. Learn something knew everyday.
I can't believe Dylan and Clay are getting so mature and in their teens. It seems like just last month we were visiting you in the hospital just after you had Clay and last week you had Dylan. Ha ha
Wow, just how old are we? Don't answer that.
Well, Mikayela is 9 and will be 10 in September. She has informed us that she is fixing to be a "Pre-Teen". Yeah! Daddy is so excited about this!
Kylee just turned "5" in May and now that she is 5 she can do things that she could not when she was four, before she was five. She is a "Big Girl Now". So she thinks. I think she is 5 going on 25.
Both the girls played ball this year. Kylee is still in t-ball and this was Mikayela's last year of coach pitch. Next year she goes to team pitch. She wants to follow in mom's footsteps and try to pitch next year so we are going to work on that this year and get her ready for next year.
Mike is still working in North Irving next to the airport at The Shaw Group, Inc. He likes his job but hates the drive. We got a little Chevy HHR and it gets pretty good gas milage, so that's not so bad. Miss the suburban though.
I quit work as you know back in April and I'm staying home with the girls. This summer was my first time to not be working since Kylee was born, we have had lots of fun. I'm sad that school is fixing to start up again, I'm going to miss spending all day with the girls, now I will be spending most of my time back up at that school helping with the PTO. Yeah!
Well that's about all that is going on around here.
Sorry to hear about Dylan. Hope you all are safe and well.
Miss ya all alot.
Kim
